Daly’s Seafoods operate some of Ireland’s most reliable and recognized fresh fish shops. The shops were founded by Michael Daly, whose interest in fishing started at an early age. His passion for fishing started in 1978 when he purchased his own boat with the aim of fishing herring, white fish and salmon.
In 1983, Michael and his wife Kathleen started selling fish from two mobile units. One unit was in Castleisland, Kerry and the other unit was in Abbeyfeale, Limerick. Michael said “We opened our first shop in 1990 in Abbeyfeale. In 1997, we built a state of the art processing facility and smokery on the South West Coast of Kerry. We went further and developed new products such as cold smoked salmon, smoked trout, gravlax, smoked mackerel and hot smoked salmon using our own recipes”.
Daly Seafood’s has now expanded to 5 other shops located in Portlaoise, Castleisland, Abbeyfeale, Nenagh and Thurles.

Since foundation, Daly’s Seafoods shops have become local favourites and popular with customers from afar. Our salmon is certified organic and is reared and prepared to a strict, high-standard certification process. Salmon is prepared in our own in-house facilities which have been certified to ISO 22000 standards.
